Available for all stainless steel Berkey units. | The Black Berkey Primer completely primes the Black Berkey Filters without a faucet or water pressure. Saturate the filters simply using the hand-powered pump. Use this to prime (saturate) or to purge (back-flush) the Black Berkey Filters. Force air through the interior of the filter instead of water to clean out the micropores of the carbon filter. Purging the Black Berkey Filters clears the pores of debris that may accumulate from use or poor-quality source water.
