When threaded directly onto the Black Berkey® purification elements the fluoride reduction element is an effective way to take control of targeted harmful contaminants in your drinking water. These fluoride water filters work as a post filter to the Black Berkey and is compatible with all Berkey water filter systems. | The Black Berkey Primer completely primes the Black Berkey Filters without a faucet or water pressure. Saturate the filters simply using the hand-powered pump.
Use this to prime (saturate) or to purge (back-flush) the Black Berkey Filters. Force air through the interior of the filter instead of water to clean out the micropores of the carbon filter. Purging the Black Berkey Filters clears the pores of debris that may accumulate from use or poor-quality source water. It also can be used to quickly dry out the filters for long-term storage.
